56 kids and 6 teachers. This is the population from Ghami School.
The first goal of our school is to protect the Mustangi culture since today’s kids will be tomorrow’s adults and they will represent the future for a group of people who are at risk of extinction: in a daily basis they face an identity threat and protecting the culture of a people is as important as feeding them. The possibility to get an education that prepares them to face the world with the same tools and opportunities and (at the same time) to make sure everyone is able to know, share and appreciate their rich cultural asset is the primary goal of Pietro Taricone Onlus.
A school built in this, so far away; land highlights the basic right to education that some kids from developed countries take for granted. The right to education should be guaranteed to every single kid in any place of the world regardless their ethnicity and social conditions.
